Deploy NBS 7.12

This section covers the full NBS 7 deployment process, from prerequisites and infrastructure setup through microservices deployment and go-live.

The procedures in this section reflect NBS 7.12. For earlier releases, see Previous Versions in the sidebar.

Before you begin, confirm that your NBS 6 version is compatible with your target NBS 7 version on the Supported NBS versions page.

NBS 7 deployment comprises the following main phases that you should complete in order:

  1. Deploy cloud infrastructure: Deploy your AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud environment
  2. Deploy cluster infrastructure: Install core Kubernetes infrastructure services
  3. Deploy NBS 7 microservices: Install and configure NBS 7 application services using Helm
  4. Deploy real-time reporting: Install components that stream ODSE and SRTE changes to the reporting database
  5. Deploy data ingestion (DI) API: Install the DI API data transit layer for writing data to NBS
  6. Validate the deployment: Perform smoke tests and inspect monitoring, console, and admin interfaces
